What The Site Covers
The guide now brings together playgrounds, library storytimes, museum visits, seasonal activities, and local family events in one searchable place. You can search by ZIP code, activity type, age range, schedule, cost, and distance.
Playgrounds
Playground pages highlight the things parents usually want to know first: restrooms, parking, shade, toddler fit, bigger-kid equipment, picnic areas, photos when available, and nearby options. Some locations are field verified, and others are still based on online research.
Storytimes And Kids Events
The activity database includes library storytimes and kid-friendly events from San Diego Public Library, San Diego County Library, Barnes & Noble, and other local sources. Event pages can show upcoming dates so families can plan around real calendar times.
Museums For Families
The museum pages collect family-focused details such as why a museum may be good for kids, regular pricing, membership links, hours, official ticket pages, and current kid-friendly programs when they are available.
Seasonal Guides
I have started adding seasonal pages too, including a 2026 San Diego Pumpkin Patch guide. The searchable entries are still there for finding places near you, while the guide gives a more readable overview for comparing options.
